भवानेव महीं कृत्स्नामेको रक्षितुमर्हति । न भूम्या कार्यमस्माकं न हि शक्ताः स्म पालने ॥ १-१४-४७
"You alone are capable to protect the earth in its entirety, and there is no use for us with these lands, and we are not capable to rule it, either." Thus the priests were addressing the king. ॥ 1-14-47॥

bhavAneva mahIM kRtsnAmeko rakSitumarhati । na bhUmyA kAryamasmAkaM na hi zaktAH sma pAlane ॥ 1-14-47
