पर्जन्यघोषो जलजः पाञ्चजन्यः कौमोदकी विष्णुगदा तरस्विनी । विद्याधरोऽसिः शतचन्द्रयुक्तस्तूणोत्तमावक्षयसायकौ च ।। ८-२०-३१ ।।

sanskrit

The Lord’s conchshell, named Pāñcajanya, which made sounds like that of a cloud; the very forceful club named Kaumodakī; the sword named Vidyādhara, with a shield decorated with hundreds of moonlike spots; and also Akṣayasāyaka, the best of quivers — all of these appeared together to offer prayers to the Lord. ।। 8-20-31 ।।

english translation

बादल की सी ध्वनि करने वाला भगवान् का पाञ्चजन्य नामक शंख, अत्यन्त वेगवान् कौमोदकी नामक गदा, विद्याधर नामक तलवार, सैकड़ों चन्द्रमा जैसे चिह्नों से अलंकृत ढाल एवं तरकसों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ अक्षयसायक—ये सभी भगवान् की स्तुति करने के लिए एक साथ प्रकट हुए। ।। ८-२०-३१ ।।

सुनन्दमुख्या उपतस्थुरीशं पार्षदमुख्याः सहलोकपालाः । स्फुरत्किरीटाङ्गदमीनकुण्डलश्रीवत्सरत्नोत्तममेखलाम्बरैः ।। ८-२०-३२ ।।

These associates, headed by Sunanda and other chief associates and accompanied by all the predominating deities of the various planets, offered prayers to the Lord, who wore a brilliant helmet, bracelets, and glittering earrings that resembled fish. On the Lord’s bosom were the lock of hair called Śrīvatsa and the transcendental jewel named Kaustubha. He wore a yellow garment, ।। 8-20-32 ।।

english translation

सुनन्द तथा अन्य प्रमुख पार्षदों के साथ-साथ विभिन्न लोकों के प्रधान देवों ने भगवान् की स्तुति की जो चमकीला मुकुट, बाजूबन्द तथा चमकदार मकराकृत कुण्डल पहने हुए थे। भगवान् के वक्षस्थल पर श्रीवत्स नामक बालों का गुच्छा और दिव्य कौस्तुभ मणि थे। वे पीतवस्त्र पहने थे ।। ८-२०-३२ ।।

मधुव्रतस्रग्वनमालया वृतो रराज राजन् भगवानुरुक्रमः । क्षितिं पदैकेन बलेर्विचक्रमे नभः शरीरेण दिशश्च बाहुभिः ।। ८-२०-३३ ।।

covered by a belt, and He was decorated by a flower garland, surrounded by bees. Manifesting Himself in this way, O King, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, whose activities are wonderful, covered the entire surface of the earth with one footstep, the sky with His body, and all directions with His arms. ।। 8-20-33 ।।

english translation

जिसके ऊपर कमर की पेटी बंधी थी। वे फूलों की माला से सज्जित थे जिसके चारों ओर भौंरे मँडरा रहे थे। हे राजा! इस प्रकार अपने आपको प्रकट करते हुए अद्भुत कार्यकलापों वाले भगवान् ने अपने एक पग से सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी को, अपने शरीर से आकाश को और अपनी भुजाओं से समस्त दिशाओं को ढक लिया। ।। ८-२०-३३ ।।

पदं द्वितीयं क्रमतस्त्रिविष्टपं न वै तृतीयाय तदीयमण्वपि । उरुक्रमस्याङ्घ्रिरुपर्युपर्यथो महर्जनाभ्यां तपसः परं गतः ।। ८-२०-३४ ।।

As the Lord took His second step, He covered the heavenly planets. And not even a spot remained for the third step, for the Lord’s foot extended higher and higher, beyond Maharloka, Janaloka, Tapoloka and even Satyaloka. ।। 8-20-34 ।।

english translation

जब भगवान् ने अपना दूसरा पग भरा तो उसमें सारे स्वर्गलोक आ गये। अब तीसरे पग के लिए रंचमात्र भी भूमि न बची क्योंकि भगवान् का पग महर्लोक, जनलोक, तपोलोक, यहाँ तक कि सत्यलोक से भी ऊपर तक फैल गया। ।। ८-२०-३४ ।।
