शङ्खतूर्यमृदङ्गानां भेरीडमरिणां महान् । हस्त्यश्वरथपत्तीनां नदतां निःस्वनोऽभवत् ॥ ८-१०-७ ॥

The sounds of the conchshells, bugles, drums, bherīs and ḍamarīs ॥ kettledrums॥, as well as the sounds made by the elephants, horses and soldiers, who were both on chariots and on foot, were tumultuous. ॥ 8-10-7 ॥

english translation

शंखों, तुरहियों, ढोलों, भेरियों तथा डमरियों की आवाजों के साथ ही हाथियों, घोड़ों तथा रथ पर चढ़े और पैदल सिपाहियों से निकली ध्वनियों से कोलाहल मच गया। ॥ ८-१०-७ ॥
