धनदारात्मजापृक्ता यत्र शोचन्ति ब्राह्मणाः । ते वै राजन्यवेषेण नटा जीवन्त्यसुम्भराः ॥ १०-८९-२९ ॥
The rulers of a kingdom in which brāhmaṇas lament over lost wealth, wives and children are merely imposters playing the role of kings just to earn their livelihood. ॥ 10-89-29 ॥

जिस राज्य में ब्राह्मण खोए हुए धन, पत्नियों और बच्चों के लिए विलाप करते हैं, उस राज्य के शासक केवल अपनी आजीविका कमाने के लिए राजाओं की भूमिका निभाने वाले धोखेबाज हैं। ॥ १०-८९-२९ ॥
