एवं त्वा नाममात्रेषु विषयेष्विन्द्रियेहया । मायया विभ्रमच्चित्तो न वेद स्मृत्युपप्लवात् ॥ १०-८४-२५ ॥
Similarly, the senses of one whose consciousness is bewildered by illusion perceive only the names and forms of material objects. Thus such a person loses his memory and cannot know You. ॥ 10-84-25 ॥

इसी प्रकार, जिसकी चेतना माया से भ्रमित हो जाती है, उसकी इंद्रियाँ केवल भौतिक वस्तुओं के नाम और रूप को ही देखती हैं। इस प्रकार ऐसा व्यक्ति अपनी याददाश्त खो देता है और आपको नहीं जान पाता। ॥ १०-८४-२५ ॥
