सत्यभामोवाच यो मे सनाभिवधतप्तहृदा ततेन लिप्ताभिशापमपमार्ष्टुमुपाजहार । जित्वर्क्षराजमथ रत्नमदात्स तेन भीतः पितादिशत मां प्रभवेऽपि दत्ताम् ।। १०-८३-९ ।।

sanskrit

Śrī Satyabhāmā said: My father, his heart tormented by his brother’s death, accused Kṛṣṇa of killing him. To remove the stain on His reputation, the Lord defeated the king of the bears and took back the Syamantaka jewel, which He then returned to my father. Fearing the consequences of his offense, my father offered me to the Lord, even though I had already been promised to others. ।। 10-83-9 ।।

english translation

श्री सत्यभामा ने कहा: मेरे पिता ने, अपने भाई की मृत्यु से दुखी होकर, कृष्ण पर उन्हें मारने का आरोप लगाया। अपनी प्रतिष्ठा पर लगे दाग को हटाने के लिए, भगवान ने रीछों के राजा को हरा दिया और स्यमंतक मणि वापस ले ली, जिसे उन्होंने मेरे पिता को लौटा दिया। अपने अपराध के परिणामों के डर से, मेरे पिता ने मुझे प्रभु को अर्पित कर दिया, भले ही मुझे पहले ही दूसरों से वादा किया गया था। ।। १०-८३-९ ।।
