शिरः पतितमालोक्य राजद्वारे सकुण्डलम् । किमिदं कस्य वा वक्त्रमिति संशिश्यिरे जनाः ॥ १०-६६-२५ ॥
Seeing a head decorated with earrings lying at the gate of the royal palace, the people present were puzzled. Some of them asked, “What is this?” and others said, “It is a head, but whose is it?” ॥ 10-66-25 ॥

राजमहल के द्वार पर कुण्डलों से सुसज्जित एक मस्तक पड़ा देखकर उपस्थित लोग आश्चर्य में पड़ गये। उनमें से कुछ ने पूछा, "यह क्या है?" और अन्य लोगों ने कहा, "यह तो सिर है, परन्तु यह किसका है?" ॥ १०-६६-२५ ॥
