नानाभावैर्लीलयैवोपपन्नैर्देवान् साधून् लोकसेतून् बिभर्षि । हंस्युन्मार्गान् हिंसया वर्तमानान् जन्मैतत्ते भारहाराय भूमेः ।। १०-६३-२७ ।।

With various intentions, You perform pastimes to maintain the demigods, the saintly persons and the codes of religion for this world. By these pastimes You also kill those who stray from the right path and live by violence. Indeed, your present incarnation is meant to relieve the earth’s burden. ।। 10-63-27 ।।

english translation

विभिन्न इरादों से, आप देवताओं, संतों और इस दुनिया के लिए धर्म के नियमों को बनाए रखने के लिए लीलाएं करते हैं। इन लीलाओं से आप उन लोगों को भी मार डालते हैं जो सही रास्ते से भटक जाते हैं और हिंसा से जीवन जीते हैं। सचमुच, आपका वर्तमान अवतार पृथ्वी का बोझ उतारने के लिये है। ।। १०-६३-२७ ।।
