Srimad Bhagavatam
ते तत्र वर्णितं गोपैः पूतनाऽऽगमनादिकम् । श्रुत्वा तन्निधनं स्वस्ति शिशोश्चासन् सुविस्मिताः ॥ १०-६-४२ ॥
When the inhabitants of Vraja who had come from distant places heard the whole story of how Pūtanā had come and then been killed by Kṛṣṇa, they were certainly astonished, and they offered their blessings to the child for His wonderful deed of killing Pūtanā. Nanda Mahārāja, of course, was very much obliged to Vasudeva, who had foreseen the incident, and simply thanked him, thinking how wonderful Vasudeva was. ॥ 10-6-42 ॥
english translation
जब दूर दूर से आये व्रजवासियों ने पूरी कथा सुनी कि किस तरह पूतना आई और फिर कृष्ण द्वारा मारी गई तो वे हत्प्रभ रह गये और उन्होंने पूतना के मारने के अद्भुत कार्य के लिए उस बालक को आशीर्वाद दिया। निस्सन्देह नन्द महाराज वसुदेव के अत्यन्त कृतज्ञ थे जिन्होंने इस घटना को पहले ही देख लिया था। उन्होंने यह सोचकर वसुदेव को धन्यवाद दिया कि वे कितने अद्भुत हैं। ॥ १०-६-४२ ॥
