तान् पीठमुख्याननयद्यमक्षयं निकृत्तशीर्षोरुभुजाङ्घ्रिवर्मणः । स्वानीकपानच्युतचक्रसायकैस्तथा निरस्तान् नरको धरासुतः ॥ १०-५९-१४ ॥
The Lord severed the heads, thighs, arms, legs and armor of these opponents led by Pīṭha and sent them all to the abode of Yamarāja. Narakāsura, the son of the earth, could not contain his fury when he saw the fate of his military leaders ॥ 10-59-14 ॥

भगवान ने पीथा के नेतृत्व में इन विरोधियों के सिर, जांघें, हाथ, पैर और कवच काट दिए और उन सभी को यमराज के निवास पर भेज दिया। जब पृथ्वी पुत्र नरकासुर ने अपने सैन्य नेताओं का भाग्य देखा तो वह अपना क्रोध नहीं रोक सका। ॥ १०-५९-१४ ॥
