नात्मनोऽन्येन संयोगो वियोगश्चासतः सति । तद्धेतुत्वात्तत्प्रसिद्धेर्दृग्रूपाभ्यां यथा रवेः ॥ १०-५४-४६ ॥
O intelligent lady, the soul never undergoes contact with or separation from insubstantial, material objects, because the soul is their very origin and illuminator. Thus the soul resembles the sun, which neither comes in contact with nor separates from the sense of sight and what is seen. ॥ 10-54-46 ॥

हे बुद्धिमान महिला, आत्मा कभी भी असार, भौतिक वस्तुओं के संपर्क या अलगाव से नहीं गुजरती है, क्योंकि आत्मा ही उनका मूल और प्रकाशक है। इस प्रकार आत्मा सूर्य के सदृश है, जो दृश्य और जो देखा जाता है, उसके न तो संपर्क में आता है और न ही उससे अलग होता है। ॥ १०-५४-४६ ॥
