देह आद्यन्तवानेष द्रव्यप्राणगुणात्मकः । आत्मन्यविद्यया कॢप्तः संसारयति देहिनम् ॥ १०-५४-४५ ॥
This material body, which has a beginning and an end, is composed of the physical elements, the senses and the modes of nature. The body, imposed on the self by material ignorance, causes one to experience the cycle of birth and death. ॥ 10-54-45 ॥

यह भौतिक शरीर, जिसका आरंभ और अंत है, भौतिक तत्वों, इंद्रियों और प्रकृति के गुणों से बना है। भौतिक अज्ञानता द्वारा स्वयं पर थोपा गया शरीर व्यक्ति को जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र का अनुभव कराता है। ॥ १०-५४-४५ ॥
