Srimad Bhagavatam
खगा वीतफलं वृक्षं भुक्त्वा चातिथयो गृहम् । दग्धं मृगास्तथारण्यं जारो भुक्त्वा रतां स्त्रियम् ॥ १०-४७-८ ॥
Birds abandon a tree when its fruits are gone, guests a house after they have eaten, animals a forest that has burnt down, and a lover the woman he has enjoyed, even though she remains attached to him. ॥ 10-47-8 ॥
english translation
फल न रहने पर पक्षी वृक्ष को, भोजन करने के बाद अतिथि घर को, जंगल जल जाने पर पशु जंगल को तथा प्रेमी के प्रति आकृष्ट रहने के बावजूद भी स्त्री का भोग कर लेने पर प्रेमी उसका परित्याग कर देते हैं। ॥ १०-४७-८ ॥
