निःस्वं त्यजन्ति गणिका अकल्पं नृपतिं प्रजाः । अधीतविद्या आचार्यं ऋत्विजो दत्तदक्षिणम् ॥ १०-४७-७ ॥
Prostitutes abandon a penniless man, subjects an incompetent king, students their teacher once they have finished their education, and priests a man who has remunerated them for a sacrifice. ॥ 10-47-7 ॥

वेश्याएँ निर्धन व्यक्ति को, प्रजा अयोग्य राजा को, शिक्षा पूरी होने पर विद्यार्थी अपने शिक्षक को तथा पुरोहितगण दक्षिणा पाने के बाद यज्ञ करने वाले व्यक्ति को छोड़ जाते हैं। ॥ १०-४७-७ ॥
