सरिद्वनगिरिद्रोणीर्वीक्षन् कुसुमितान् द्रुमान् । कृष्णं संस्मारयन् रेमे हरिदासो व्रजौकसाम् ॥ १०-४७-५६ ॥
That servant of Lord Hari, seeing the rivers, forests, mountains, valleys and flowering trees of Vraja, enjoyed inspiring the inhabitants of Vṛndāvana by reminding them of Lord Kṛṣṇa. ॥ 10-47-56 ॥
english translation
हरि के दास (उद्धव) ने व्रज की नदियों, जंगलों, पर्वतों, घाटियों तथा पुष्पित वृक्षों को देख देखकर और भगवान् कृष्ण के विषय में स्मरण करा-कराकर वृन्दावनवासियों को प्रेरणा देने में आनन्द का अनुभव किया। ॥ १०-४७-५६ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptदृष्ट्वैवमादि गोपीनां कृष्णावेशात्मविक्लवम् । उद्धवः परमप्रीतस्ता नमस्यन्निदं जगौ ॥ १०-४७-५७ ॥
Thus seeing how the gopīs were always disturbed because of their total absorption in Kṛṣṇa, Uddhava was supremely pleased. Desiring to offer them all respect, he sang as follows. ॥ 10-47-57 ॥

इस तरह यह देखकर कि गोपियाँ किस तरह कृष्ण में पूर्णतया तल्लीन रहने से सदैव विक्षुब्ध रहती हैं, उद्धव अत्यधिक प्रसन्न थे। उन्हें नमस्कार करने की इच्छा से उन्होंने यह गीत गाया। ॥ १०-४७-५७ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptएताः परं तनुभृतो भुवि गोपवध्वो गोविन्द एव निखिलात्मनि रूढभावाः । वाञ्छन्ति यद्भवभियो मुनयो वयं च किं ब्रह्मजन्मभिरनन्तकथारसस्य ॥ १०-४७-५८ ॥
॥ Uddhava sang:॥ Among all persons on earth, these cowherd women alone have actually perfected their embodied lives, for they have achieved the perfection of unalloyed love for Lord Govinda. Their pure love is hankered after by those who fear material existence, by great sages, and by ourselves as well. For one who has tasted the narrations of the infinite Lord, what is the use of taking birth as a high-class brāhmaṇa, or even as Lord Brahmā himself? ॥ 10-47-58 ॥

॥ उद्धव ने गाया॥ : पृथ्वी के समस्त व्यक्तियों में ये गोपियाँ ही वास्तव में अपने देहधारी जीवनों को सफल बना पाई हैं क्योंकि इन्होंने भगवान् गोविन्द के लिए शुद्ध प्रेम की पूर्णता प्राप्त कर ली है। इस संसार से डरने वालों, बड़े-बड़े मुनियों तथा हम सबों को इनके शुद्ध प्रेम की लालसा बनी रहती है। जिसने अनन्त भगवान् की कथाओं का आस्वाद कर लिया है उसके लिए उच्च ब्राह्मण के रूप में या साक्षात् ब्रह्मा के रूप में भी जन्म लेने से क्या लाभ? ॥ १०-४७-५८ ॥

etAH paraM tanubhRto bhuvi gopavadhvo govinda eva nikhilAtmani rUDhabhAvAH । vAJchanti yadbhavabhiyo munayo vayaM ca kiM brahmajanmabhiranantakathArasasya ॥ 10-47-58 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्वेमाः स्त्रियो वनचरीर्व्यभिचारदुष्टाः कृष्णे क्व चैष परमात्मनि रूढभावः । नन्वीश्वरोऽनुभजतोऽविदुषोऽपि साक्षाच्छ्रेयस्तनोत्यगदराज इवोपयुक्तः ॥ १०-४७-५९ ॥
How amazing it is that these simple women who wander about the forest, seemingly spoiled by improper behavior, have achieved the perfection of unalloyed love for Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Soul! Still, it is true that the Supreme Lord Himself awards His blessings even to an ignorant worshiper, just as the best medicine works even when taken by a person ignorant of its ingredients. ॥ 10-47-59 ॥

यह कितना आश्चर्यजनक है कि जंगल में विचरण करने वाली एवं अनुपयुक्त आचरण के कारण दूषित सी प्रतीत होने वाली इन सीधी-सादी स्त्रियों ने परमात्मा कृष्ण के लिए शुद्ध प्रेम की पूर्णता प्राप्त कर ली है। तो भी यह सच है कि भगवान् एक अज्ञानी पूजक को भी अपना आशीर्वाद देते हैं जिस प्रकार कि अज्ञानी व्यक्ति द्वारा किसी उत्तम औषधि के अवयवों से अनजान होते हुए पी लेने पर भी वह अपना प्रभाव दिखलाती है। ॥ १०-४७-५९ ॥

kvemAH striyo vanacarIrvyabhicAraduSTAH kRSNe kva caiSa paramAtmani rUDhabhAvaH । nanvIzvaro'nubhajato'viduSo'pi sAkSAcchreyastanotyagadarAja ivopayuktaH ॥ 10-47-59 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनायं श्रियोऽङ्ग उ नितान्तरतेः प्रसादः स्वर्योषितां नलिनगन्धरुचां कुतोऽन्याः । रासोत्सवेऽस्य भुजदण्डगृहीतकण्ठलब्धाशिषां य उदगाद्व्रजवल्लवीनाम् ॥ १०-४७-६० ॥
When Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa was dancing with the gopīs in the rāsa-līlā, the gopīs were embraced by the arms of the Lord. This transcendental favor was never bestowed upon the goddess of fortune or other consorts in the spiritual world. Indeed, never was such a thing even imagined by the most beautiful girls in the heavenly planets, whose bodily luster and aroma resemble the lotus flower. And what to speak of worldly women who are very beautiful according to material estimation? ॥ 10-47-60 ॥

जब श्रीकृष्ण रासलीला में गोपियों के साथ नाच रहे थे तो भगवान् की भुजाएँ गोपियों का आलिंगन कर रही थीं। यह दिव्य अनुग्रह न तो कभी लक्ष्मीजी को प्राप्त हुआ न वैकुण्ठ की ललनाओं (अंगनाओं) को। निस्सन्देह कमल के फूल जैसी शारीरिक कान्ति तथा सुगंध से युक्त स्वर्गलोक की सबसे सुन्दर बालाओं ने भी कभी इस तरह की कल्पना तक नहीं की थी। तो फिर उन संसारी स्त्रियों के विषय में क्या कहा जाय जो भौतिक दृष्टि से अतीव सुन्दर हैं? ॥ १०-४७-६० ॥
