धारयन्त्यतिकृच्छ्रेण प्रायः प्राणान् कथञ्चन । प्रत्यागमनसन्देशैर्वल्लव्यो मे मदात्मिकाः ॥ १०-४६-६ ॥
Simply because I have promised to return to them, My fully devoted cowherd girlfriends struggle to maintain their lives somehow or other. ॥ 10-46-6 ॥

चूँकि मैंने उनसे वापस आने का वादा किया है इसीलिए मुझमें पूर्णत: अनुरक्त मेरी गोपियाँ किसी तरह से अपने प्राणों को बनाये रखने के लिए संघर्ष कर रही हैं। ॥ १०-४६-६ ॥

श्रीशुक उवाच इत्युक्त उद्धवो राजन् सन्देशं भर्तुरादृतः । आदाय रथमारुह्य प्रययौ नन्दगोकुलम् ॥ १०-४६-७ ॥
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus addressed, O King, Uddhava respectfully accepted his master’s message, mounted his chariot and set off for Nanda-gokula. ॥ 10-46-7 ॥

शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा : हे राजन्, इस तरह कहे जाने पर उद्धव ने आदरपूर्वक अपने स्वामी के सन्देश को स्वीकार किया। वे अपने रथ पर सवार होकर नन्द-गोकुल के लिए चल पड़े। ॥ १०-४६-७ ॥

प्राप्तो नन्दव्रजं श्रीमान् निम्लोचति विभावसौ । छन्नयानः प्रविशतां पशूनां खुररेणुभिः ॥ १०-४६-८ ॥
The fortunate Uddhava reached Nanda Mahārāja’s pastures just as the sun was setting, and since the returning cows and other animals were raising dust with their hooves, his chariot passed unnoticed. ॥ 10-46-8 ॥

भाग्यशाली उद्धव नन्द महाराज के चरागाहों में उस समय पहुँचे जब सूर्य अस्त होने वाला था और चूँकि लौटती हुई गौवें तथा अन्य पशु अपने खुरों से धूल उड़ा रहे थे अत: उनका रथ अनदेखे ही निकल गया। ॥ १०-४६-८ ॥

वासितार्थेऽभियुध्यद्भिर्नादितं शुष्मिभिर्वृषैः । धावन्तीभिश्च वास्राभिरूधोभारैः स्ववत्सकान् ॥ १०-४६-९ ॥
Gokula resounded on all sides with the sounds of bulls in rut fighting with one another for fertile cows; with the mooing of cows, burdened by their udders, chasing after their calves; ॥ 10-46-9 ॥

ऋतुमती गौवों के लिए परस्पर लड़ रहे साँड़ों की ध्वनि से, अपने बछड़ों का पीछा कर रही अपने थनों के भार से रँभाती गौवों से, ॥ १०-४६-९ ॥

इतस्ततो विलङ्घद्भिर्गोवत्सैर्मण्डितं सितैः । गोदोहशब्दाभिरवं वेणूनां निःस्वनेन च ॥ १०-४६-१० ॥
with the noise of milking and of the white calves jumping here and there; with the loud reverberation of flute-playing; ॥ 10-46-10 ॥
