तद्बलाबलवद्युद्धं समेताः सर्वयोषितः । ऊचुः परस्परं राजन् सानुकम्पा वरूथशः ॥ १०-४४-६ ॥
My dear King, all the women present, considering the match an unfair fight between the strong and the weak, felt extreme anxiety due to compassion. They assembled in groups around the arena and spoke to one another as follows. ॥ 10-44-6 ॥

हे राजन्, वहाँ पर उपस्थित सारी स्त्रियों ने बलवान् तथा निर्बल के बीच होने वाली इस अनुचित लड़ाई पर विचार करते हुए दया के कारण अत्यधिक चिन्ता का अनुभव किया। वे अखाड़े के चारों ओर झुंड की झुंड एकत्र हो गईं और परस्पर इस तरह बातें करने लगीं। ॥ १०-४४-६ ॥
