न हि सद्भावयुक्तानां सुराणामीशविस्मयः । मत्तोऽसतां मानभङ्गः प्रशमायोपकल्पते ।। १०-२५-१७ ।।

sanskrit

Since the demigods are endowed with the mode of goodness, the false pride of considering oneself the Lord should certainly not affect them. When I break the false prestige of those bereft of goodness, My purpose is to bring them relief. ।। 10-25-17 ।।

english translation

चूँकि देवता सतोगुण से युक्त होते हैं अत: अपने को स्वामी मानने का मिथ्या अभिमान उनमें बिल्कुल नहीं आना चाहिए। जब मैं सतोगुण से विहीन उनके मिथ्या अभिमान को भंग करता हूँ तो मेरा उद्देश्य उन्हें राहत दिलाना होता है। ।। १०-२५-१७ ।।
