तासां विज्ञाय भगवान् स्वपादस्पर्शकाम्यया । धृतव्रतानां सङ्कल्पमाह दामोदरोऽबलाः ॥ १०-२२-२४ ॥

The Supreme Lord understood the determination of the gopīs in executing their strict vow. The Lord also knew that the girls desired to touch His lotus feet, and thus Lord Dāmodara, Kṛṣṇa, spoke to them as follows. ॥ 10-22-24 ॥

english translation

भगवान् उन गोपियों के द्वारा किये जा रहे कठोर व्रत के संकल्प को समझ गये। वे यह भी जान गये कि ये बालाएँ उनके चरणकमलों का स्पर्श करना चाहती हैं अत: भगवान् दामोदर कृष्ण उनसे इस प्रकार बोले। ॥ १०-२२-२४ ॥
