ता आहूता भगवता मेघगम्भीरया गिरा । स्वनाम्नां निनदं श्रुत्वा प्रतिनेदुः प्रहर्षिताः ॥ १०-१९-६ ॥
The Supreme Personality of Godhead called out to the animals in a voice that resounded like a rumbling cloud. Hearing the sound of their own names, the cows were overjoyed and called out to the Lord in reply. ॥ 10-19-6 ॥
english translation
भगवान् ने उन पशुओं को गरजते बादल की तरह गूँजती वाणी से पुकारा। अपने-अपने नामों की ध्वनि सुनकर गौवें अत्यधिक हर्षित हुईं और हुंकार भर कर भगवान् को उत्तर देने लगीं। ॥ १०-१९-६ ॥

tA AhUtA bhagavatA meghagambhIrayA girA । svanAmnAM ninadaM zrutvA pratineduH praharSitAH ॥ 10-19-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः समन्ताद्वनधूमकेतुर्यदृच्छयाभूत्क्षयकृद्वनौकसाम् । समीरितः सारथिनोल्बणोल्मुकैर्विलेलिहानः स्थिरजङ्गमान् महान् ॥ १०-१९-७ ॥
Suddenly a great forest fire appeared on all sides, threatening to destroy all the forest creatures. Like a chariot driver, the wind swept the fire onward, and terrible sparks shot in all directions. Indeed, the great fire extended its tongues of flame toward all moving and nonmoving creatures. ॥ 10-19-7 ॥

सहसा चारों दिशाओं में महान् दावाग्नि प्रकट हुई जिससे जंगल के समस्त प्राणियों के नष्ट होने का संकट उत्पन्न हो गया। सारथी तुल्य वायु, अग्नि को आगे बढ़ाती जा रही थी और चारों ओर भयानक चिनगारियाँ निकल रही थीं। निस्सन्देह, इस महान् अग्नि ने अपनी ज्वालाओं रूपी जिह्वाओं को समस्त चल और अचर प्राणियों की और लपलपा दिया था। ॥ १०-१९-७ ॥

tataH samantAdvanadhUmaketuryadRcchayAbhUtkSayakRdvanaukasAm । samIritaH sArathinolbaNolmukairvilelihAnaH sthirajaGgamAn mahAn ॥ 10-19-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतमापतन्तं परितो दवाग्निं गोपाश्च गावः प्रसमीक्ष्य भीताः । ऊचुश्च कृष्णं सबलं प्रपन्ना यथा हरिं मृत्युभयार्दिता जनाः ॥ १०-१९-८ ॥
As the cows and cowherd boys stared at the forest fire attacking them on all sides, they became fearful. The boys then approached Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma for shelter, just as those who are disturbed by fear of death approach the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The boys addressed Them as follows. ॥ 10-19-8 ॥

जब गौवों तथा ग्वालबालों ने चारों ओर से दावाग्नि को अपने ऊपर आक्रमण करते देखा तो वे बहुत डर गये। अत: वे रक्षा के लिए कृष्ण तथा बलराम के निकट गये जिस तरह मृत्यु भय से विचलित लोग भगवान् की शरण में जाते हैं। उन बालकों ने उन्हें इस प्रकार से सम्बोधित किया। ॥ १०-१९-८ ॥

tamApatantaM parito davAgniM gopAzca gAvaH prasamIkSya bhItAH । Ucuzca kRSNaM sabalaM prapannA yathA hariM mRtyubhayArditA janAH ॥ 10-19-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृष्ण कृष्ण महावीर हे रामामितविक्रम । दावाग्निना दह्यमानान् प्रपन्नांस्त्रातुमर्हथः ॥ १०-१९-९ ॥
॥ The cowherd boys said:॥ O Kṛṣṇa! Kṛṣṇa! Most powerful one! O Rāma! You whose prowess never fails! Please save Your devotees, who are about to be burned by this forest fire and have come to take shelter of You! ॥ 10-19-9 ॥
english translation
॥ ग्वालबालों ने कहा॥ हे कृष्ण, हे कृष्ण, हे महावीर, हे राम, हे अमोघ शक्तिशाली, कृपा करके अपने उन भक्तों को बचायें जो जंगल की इस अग्नि से जलने ही वाले हैं और आपकी शरण में आये हैं। ॥ १०-१९-९ ॥

kRSNa kRSNa mahAvIra he rAmAmitavikrama । dAvAgninA dahyamAnAn prapannAMstrAtumarhathaH ॥ 10-19-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनूनं त्वद्बान्धवाः कृष्ण न चार्हन्त्यवसादितुम् । वयं हि सर्वधर्मज्ञ त्वन्नाथास्त्वत्परायणाः ॥ १०-१९-१० ॥
Kṛṣṇa! Certainly Your own friends shouldn’t be destroyed. O knower of the nature of all things, we have accepted You as our Lord, and we are souls surrendered unto You! ॥ 10-19-10 ॥
english translation
कृष्ण! निस्सन्देह आपके अपने मित्रों को तो नष्ट नहीं होना चाहिए। हे समस्त वस्तुओं की प्रकृति को जाननेवाले, हमने आपको अपना स्वामी मान रखा है और हम आपके शरणागत हैं। ॥ १०-१९-१० ॥
