तानालक्ष्य भयोद्विग्ना गोपा नन्दपुरोगमाः । विना रामेण गाः कृष्णं ज्ञात्वा चारयितुं गतम् ॥ १०-१६-१३ ॥
Seeing the inauspicious omens, Nanda Mahārāja and the other cowherd men were fearful, for they knew that Kṛṣṇa had gone to herd the cows that day without His elder brother, Balarāma. ॥ 10-16-13 ॥

इन अपशकुनों को देखकर नन्द महाराज तथा अन्य ग्वाले भयभीत थे क्योंकि उन्हें ज्ञात था कि उस दिन कृष्ण अपने बड़े भाई बलराम के बिना गाय चराने गये थे। ॥ १०-१६-१३ ॥
