तदीक्षणोत्प्रेमरसाप्लुताशया जातानुरागा गतमन्यवोऽर्भकान् । उदुह्य दोर्भिः परिरभ्य मूर्धनि घ्राणैरवापुः परमां मुदं ते ।। १०-१३-३३ ।।

sanskrit

At that time, all the thoughts of the cowherd men merged in the mellow of paternal love, which was aroused by the sight of their sons. Experiencing a great attraction, their anger completely disappearing, they lifted their sons, embraced them in their arms and enjoyed the highest pleasure by smelling their sons’ heads. ।। 10-13-33 ।।

english translation

उस समय ग्वालों के सारे विचार अपने अपने पुत्रों को देखने से उत्पन्न वात्सल्य-प्रेम रस में विलीन हो गये। अत्यधिक आकर्षण का अनुभव करने से उनका क्रोध छू-मन्तर हो गया। उन्होंने अपने पुत्रों को उठाकर बाँहों में भर कर आलिंगन किया और उनके सिरों को सूँघ कर सर्वोच्च आनन्द प्राप्त किया। ।। १०-१३-३३ ।।
