तं तालुमूलं प्रदहन्तमग्निवद्गोपालसूनुं पितरं जगद्गुरोः । चच्छर्द सद्योऽतिरुषाक्षतं बकस्तुण्डेन हन्तुं पुनरभ्यपद्यत ।। १०-११-५० ।।

sanskrit

Kṛṣṇa, who was the father of Lord Brahmā but who was acting as the son of a cowherd man, became like fire, burning the root of the demon’s throat, and the demon Bakāsura immediately disgorged Him. When the demon saw that Kṛṣṇa, although having been swallowed, was unharmed, he immediately attacked Kṛṣṇa again with his sharp beak. ।। 10-11-50 ।।

english translation

कृष्ण जो ब्रह्मा के पिता हैं किन्तु ग्वाले के पुत्र की भूमिका निभा रहे थे, अग्नि के समान बन कर असुर के गले के निचले भाग को जलाने लगे जिससे बकासुर ने तुरन्त ही उन्हें उगल दिया। जब असुर ने देखा कि निगले जाने पर भी कृष्ण को कोई क्षति नहीं पहुँची तो तुरन्त ही उसने अपनी तेज चोंच से कृष्ण पर फिर वार कर दिया। ।। १०-११-५० ।।
