साधूनां समचित्तानां मुकुन्दचरणैषिणाम् । उपेक्ष्यैः किं धनस्तम्भैरसद्भिरसदाश्रयैः ।। १०-१०-१८ ।।

sanskrit

Saintly persons [sādhus] think of Kṛṣṇa twenty-four hours a day. They have no other interest. Why should people neglect the association of such exalted spiritual personalities and try to associate with materialists, taking shelter of nondevotees, most of whom are proud and rich? ।। 10-10-18 ।।

english translation

सन्त-पुरुष (साधुजन) चौबीसों घण्टे कृष्ण का चिन्तन करते रहते हैं। उनकी और कोई रूचि नहीं रहती। तो फिर लोग ऐसे आध्यात्मिक पुरुषों की संगति की उपेक्षा करके क्यों उन भौतिकतावादियों की संगति करने का प्रयास करते हैं तथा उन अभक्तों की शरण लेते हैं जिनमें से अधिकांश अभिमानी तथा धनी हैं? ।। १०-१०-१८ ।।
