दरिद्रस्यैव युज्यन्ते साधवः समदर्शिनः । सद्भिः क्षिणोति तं तर्षं तत आराद्विशुद्ध्यति ।। १०-१०-१७ ।।

sanskrit

Saintly persons may freely associate with those who are poverty-stricken, but not with those who are rich. A poverty-stricken man, by association with saintly persons, very soon becomes uninterested in material desires, and the dirty things within the core of his heart are cleansed away. ।। 10-10-17 ।।

english translation

सन्त-पुरुष दरिद्रों के साथ बिना रोकटोक के घुलमिल सकते हैं किन्तु धनी व्यक्तियों के साथ नहीं। दरिद्र व्यक्ति ऐसे साधु पुरुषों की संगति से तुरन्त ही भौतिक इच्छाओं से विमुख हो जाता है और उसके मन का सारा मैल धुल जाता है। ।। १०-१०-१७ ।।
