Gaurmukha, possessing amiable manners and every virtue, arrived at the court and, after a brief rest, conveyed the message to the king. In the words of his master, he revealed, "O king, you have been cursed by my son, and Takshaka shall burn you with his venom!"' ॥ 1-46-12 ॥

O virtuous one, consider taking a wife and bringing forth offspring for the welfare of our lineage.' ॥ 1-41-21 ॥
