- siva.sh/manusmriti/5/118अद्भिस्तु प्रोक्षणं शौचं बहूनां धान्यवाससाम् । प्रक्षालनेन त्वल्पानामद्भिः शौचं विधीयते ॥ ११८ ॥adbhistu prokSaNaM zaucaM bahUnAM dhAnyavAsasAm । prakSAlanena tvalpAnAmadbhiH zaucaM vidhIyate ॥ 118 ॥The manner of purifying large quantities of grain and of cloth is to sprinkle them with water; but the purification of small quantities is prescribed (to take place) by washing them.

Personally, I assure you I shall not seek to enter those realms designated for me. Hence, they are yours to claim."' ॥ 1-88-5 ॥

Hence, even as you descend, you shall not truly fall. Accept them swiftly, whether they are in the firmament or the heavens. May your distress end."' ॥ 1-87-10 ॥

I inquire, O king, whether there are any realms for me to inhabit in heaven or in the celestial realms? If so, then even as you descend, you shall not fall."' ॥ 1-87-8 ॥

O king, I have obtained a boon from Indra that, though I must descend to the earth, I shall do so amidst the wise and virtuous. You all gathered here are indeed wise and virtuous.' ॥ 1-87-7 ॥

Such a person should eschew all forms of pride—whether related to lineage, education, or social standing. Even when adorned with the simplest of garments, he may carry himself with the dignity of one robed in the finest attire.' ॥ 1-86-12 ॥

And as they fall, they are attacked by certain Rakshasas in the form of sons, grandsons, and other relatives, that withdraw their hearts from acting for their emancipation.' ॥ 1-85-8 ॥

Enlighten me, O king, about the realms one can reach through various actions. You, I believe, are well-versed in the deeds and wisdom of the exalted ones."' ॥ 1-85-3 ॥
