When Rāhu’s head was severed from his body, the body, being untouched by the nectar, could not survive. ।। 8-9-25 ॥

The moon and the sun, however, because of permanent animosity toward Rāhu, understood the situation. Thus Rāhu was detected. ।। 8-9-24 ॥

Then She administered the nectar to the demigods, who were sitting at a distant place, to make them free from invalidity, old age and death. ।। 8-9-21 ॥
