In these games the winners would climb up on the backs of the losers, who would have to carry them. ॥ 10-18-21 ॥

It was auspicious, worthy of worship. It looked as if it was drawn by royal swans in the sky. ॥ 5-7-7॥

It looked like a mountain peak covered with pollen of flowers dropped from all kinds of trees. ॥ 5-7-6॥

The dearness of everything else — children, wealth and so on — is due only to the dearness of the self. ॥ 10-14-50 ॥

    राजोवाच ब्रह्मन् परोद्भवे कृष्णे इयान् प्रेमा कथं भवेत् । योऽभूतपूर्वस्तोकेषु स्वोद्भवेष्वपि कथ्यताम् ॥ १०-१४-४९ ॥rAjovAca brahman parodbhave kRSNe iyAn premA kathaM bhavet । yo'bhUtapUrvastokeSu svodbhaveSvapi kathyatAm ॥ 10-14-49 ॥King Parīkṣit said: O brāhmaṇa, how could the cowherd women have developed for Kṛṣṇa, someone else’s son, such unprecedented pure love — love they never felt even for their own children? Please explain this. ॥ 10-14-49 ॥
