तस्मात्प्रियतमः स्वात्मा सर्वेषामपि देहिनाम् । तदर्थमेव सकलं जगदेतच्चराचरम् ।। १०-१४- ५४।।

sanskrit

Therefore it is his own self that is most dear to every embodied living being, and it is simply for the satisfaction of this self that the whole material creation of moving and nonmoving entities exists. ।। 10-14-54 ।।

english translation

इसलिए हर देहधारी जीव को अपना आप (स्वात्म) ही सर्वाधिक प्रिय है और इसी की तुष्टि के लिए यह समस्त चराचर जगत विद्यमान है। ।। १०-१४-५४ ।।

tasmAtpriyatamaH svAtmA sarveSAmapi dehinAm | tadarthameva sakalaM jagadetaccarAcaram || 10-14- 54||
