उद्वे॑ति सु॒भगो॑ वि॒श्वच॑क्षा॒: साधा॑रण॒: सूर्यो॒ मानु॑षाणाम् । चक्षु॑र्मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य दे॒वश्चर्मे॑व॒ यः स॒मवि॑व्य॒क्तमां॑सि ॥ उद्वेति सुभगो विश्वचक्षाः साधारणः सूर्यो मानुषाणाम् । चक्षुर्मित्रस्य वरुणस्य देवश्चर्मेव यः समविव्यक्तमांसि ॥
The auspicious Sūrya rises, the eye of all, the common (parent) of men; the divine eye of Mitra andVaruṇa, who breaks through the glooms as through (investing) skin.
english translation
उद्वे॑ति प्रसवी॒ता जना॑नां म॒हान्के॒तुर॑र्ण॒वः सूर्य॑स्य । स॒मा॒नं च॒क्रं प॑र्या॒विवृ॑त्स॒न्यदे॑त॒शो वह॑ति धू॒र्षु यु॒क्तः ॥ उद्वेति प्रसवीता जनानां महान्केतुरर्णवः सूर्यस्य । समानं चक्रं पर्याविवृत्सन्यदेतशो वहति धूर्षु युक्तः ॥
The animator of men arises, the great rain-shedding banner of Sūrya rolling on the universal wheel,which the white steeds yoked to his car drag along.

वि॒भ्राज॑मान उ॒षसा॑मु॒पस्था॑द्रे॒भैरुदे॑त्यनुम॒द्यमा॑नः । ए॒ष मे॑ दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता च॑च्छन्द॒ यः स॑मा॒नं न प्र॑मि॒नाति॒ धाम॑ ॥ विभ्राजमान उषसामुपस्थाद्रेभैरुदेत्यनुमद्यमानः । एष मे देवः सविता चच्छन्द यः समानं न प्रमिनाति धाम ॥
Delighted by the praises (of his worshippers), the radiant sun rises from the lap of the dawns; thatdivine sun gratifies my desires, who limits not the lustre that is common (to all).

दि॒वो रु॒क्म उ॑रु॒चक्षा॒ उदे॑ति दू॒रेअ॑र्थस्त॒रणि॒र्भ्राज॑मानः । नू॒नं जना॒: सूर्ये॑ण॒ प्रसू॑ता॒ अय॒न्नर्था॑नि कृ॒णव॒न्नपां॑सि ॥ दिवो रुक्म उरुचक्षा उदेति दूरेअर्थस्तरणिर्भ्राजमानः । नूनं जनाः सूर्येण प्रसूता अयन्नर्थानि कृणवन्नपांसि ॥
The bright and glorious sun rises from the firmament far-going, traversing (the heavens), diffusing light;verily all beings animated by Sūrya proceed and execute their assigned labours.

यत्रा॑ च॒क्रुर॒मृता॑ गा॒तुम॑स्मै श्ये॒नो न दीय॒न्नन्वे॑ति॒ पाथ॑: । प्रति॑ वां॒ सूर॒ उदि॑ते विधेम॒ नमो॑भिर्मित्रावरुणो॒त ह॒व्यैः ॥ यत्रा चक्रुरमृता गातुमस्मै श्येनो न दीयन्नन्वेति पाथः । प्रति वां सूर उदिते विधेम नमोभिर्मित्रावरुणोत हव्यैः ॥
He travels the path which the immortals have prepared for his course, darting along like a hawk; weworship you, Mitra and Varuṇa, when the sun has risen, with praises and oblations.
