स्वा॒यु॒धास॑ इ॒ष्मिण॑: सुनि॒ष्का उ॒त स्व॒यं त॒न्व१॒॑: शुम्भ॑मानाः ॥ स्वायुधास इष्मिणः सुनिष्का उत स्वयं तन्वः शुम्भमानाः ॥
Bearers are (the Maruts) of bright weapons, rapid are they in motion, wearers of brilliant ornaments,and self-radiators of their person.

शुची॑ वो ह॒व्या म॑रुत॒: शुची॑नां॒ शुचिं॑ हिनोम्यध्व॒रं शुचि॑भ्यः । ऋ॒तेन॑ स॒त्यमृ॑त॒साप॑ आय॒ञ्छुचि॑जन्मान॒: शुच॑यः पाव॒काः ॥ शुची वो हव्या मरुतः शुचीनां शुचिं हिनोम्यध्वरं शुचिभ्यः । ऋतेन सत्यमृतसाप आयञ्छुचिजन्मानः शुचयः पावकाः ॥
Pure oblations be offered, Maruts, to you who are pure; the shedders of water proceed by truth to truth,pure, purifying, of pure birth.

अंसे॒ष्वा म॑रुतः खा॒दयो॑ वो॒ वक्ष॑स्सु रु॒क्मा उ॑पशिश्रिया॒णाः । वि वि॒द्युतो॒ न वृ॒ष्टिभी॑ रुचा॒ना अनु॑ स्व॒धामायु॑धै॒र्यच्छ॑मानाः ॥ अंसेष्वा मरुतः खादयो वो वक्षस्सु रुक्मा उपशिश्रियाणाः । वि विद्युतो न वृष्टिभी रुचाना अनु स्वधामायुधैर्यच्छमानाः ॥
Bright ornaments, Maruts, are on your shoulders, shining (necklaces) are pendant on your breasts,glittering with rain, like lightnings, you are distributing the waters with your weapons.

प्र बु॒ध्न्या॑ व ईरते॒ महां॑सि॒ प्र नामा॑नि प्रयज्यवस्तिरध्वम् । स॒ह॒स्रियं॒ दम्यं॑ भा॒गमे॒तं गृ॑हमे॒धीयं॑ मरुतो जुषध्वम् ॥ प्र बुध्न्या व ईरते महांसि प्र नामानि प्रयज्यवस्तिरध्वम् । सहस्रियं दम्यं भागमेतं गृहमेधीयं मरुतो जुषध्वम् ॥
Your celestial splendours, Maruts, spread wide; objects of worship, you send down (the waters) thatbeat down (the dust); accept Maruts, this your portion of the domestic worship of the household multiplied athousand-fold.

यदि॑ स्तु॒तस्य॑ मरुतो अधी॒थेत्था विप्र॑स्य वा॒जिनो॒ हवी॑मन् । म॒क्षू रा॒यः सु॒वीर्य॑स्य दात॒ नू चि॒द्यम॒न्य आ॒दभ॒दरा॑वा ॥ यदि स्तुतस्य मरुतो अधीथेत्था विप्रस्य वाजिनो हवीमन् । मक्षू रायः सुवीर्यस्य दात नू चिद्यमन्य आदभदरावा ॥
If, Maruts, you justly appreciate the praise of the devout offerer of (sacrificial) food, conjoined withoblations, then promptly bestow (upon us) riches, comprehending excellent male posterity, such as no unfriendlyman can take away.
