क ईं॒ व्य॑क्ता॒ नर॒: सनी॑ळा रु॒द्रस्य॒ मर्या॒ अध॒ स्वश्वा॑: ॥ क ईं व्यक्ता नरः सनीळा रुद्रस्य मर्या अध स्वश्वाः ॥
Who are these resplendent chiefs, the dwellers in one abode, the sons of Rudra, friends of man, atpresent well-mounted?
english translation
नकि॒र्ह्ये॑षां ज॒नूंषि॒ वेद॒ ते अ॒ङ्ग वि॑द्रे मि॒थो ज॒नित्र॑म् ॥ नकिर्ह्येषां जनूंषि वेद ते अङ्ग विद्रे मिथो जनित्रम् ॥
No one indeed knows their origin, they alone respectively know their birth.
english translation
अ॒भि स्व॒पूभि॑र्मि॒थो व॑पन्त॒ वात॑स्वनसः श्ये॒ना अ॑स्पृध्रन् ॥ अभि स्वपूभिर्मिथो वपन्त वातस्वनसः श्येना अस्पृध्रन् ॥
They go together by their own pure paths; roaring like the wind, and fleet as falcons, they mutually rival each other.
english translation
ए॒तानि॒ धीरो॑ नि॒ण्या चि॑केत॒ पृश्नि॒र्यदूधो॑ म॒ही ज॒भार॑ ॥ एतानि धीरो निण्या चिकेत पृश्निर्यदूधो मही जभार ॥
The sage may know those white-complexioned beings (the Maruts), whom the vast Pṛṣṇi born at herudder.
english translation
सा विट् सु॒वीरा॑ म॒रुद्भि॑रस्तु स॒नात्सह॑न्ती॒ पुष्य॑न्ती नृ॒म्णम् ॥ सा विट् सुवीरा मरुद्भिरस्तु सनात्सहन्ती पुष्यन्ती नृम्णम् ॥
May the people, through (the favours of) the Maruts, always victorious, possessed of male posterity,and in the enjoyment of wealth.
english translation
