अदग्धा जानकीत्येवं निमित्तैश्चोपलक्षिता । दीप्यमाने तु लाङ्गूले न मां दहति पावकः ॥ ५-५८-१६०
''On hearing that Jankai had not been burnt, I understood that it is on her account (that he is also not burnt although his tail was ignited). My tail was burning but I was not burnt by fire. ॥ 5-58-160॥
