मन्त्रिपुत्त्रान्हतान्च्छृत्वा समरेऽलघुविक्रमान् । पञ्च सेनाग्रगाच्छ्रूरान्प्रेषयामास रावणः ॥ ५-५८-१२१

तानहं सहसैन्यान्वै सर्वानेवाभ्यसूदयम् । ततः पुनर्दशग्रीवः पुत्रमक्षं महाबलम् ॥ ५-५८-१२२
