तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राक्षसाः कोपकर्शिताः । वेष्टयन्ति स्म लाङ्गूलं जीर्णैः कार्पासकैः पटैः ॥ ५-५३-६
Obeying the orders of the king, the brutally angry demons wrapped his tail with tatters of cotton. ॥ 5-53-6॥

tasya tadvacanaM zrutvA rAkSasAH kopakarzitAH । veSTayanti sma lAGgUlaM jIrNaiH kArpAsakaiH paTaiH ॥ 5-53-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंवेष्ट्यमाने लाङ्गूले व्यवर्धत महाकपिः । शुष्कमिन्धनमासाद्य वनेष्विव हुताशनः ॥ ५-५३-७
While the tail was being swathed, the great vanara grew in size like wild fire fed with dry firewood. ॥ 5-53-7॥

saMveSTyamAne lAGgUle vyavardhata mahAkapiH । zuSkamindhanamAsAdya vaneSviva hutAzanaH ॥ 5-53-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतैलेन परिषिच्याथ तेऽग्निं तत्राभ्यपातयन् । लाङ्गूलेन प्रदीप्तेन राक्षसांस्तानपातयत् ॥ ५-५३-८
The demons soaked the tail and set fire to it. He (Hanuman) struck them with the burning tail. ॥ 5-53-8॥

His face burning in anger shone like the rising Sun and his mind seized with indignation. To see the burning tail of Hanuman . - ॥ 5-53-9॥

roSAmarSaparItAtmA bAlasUryasamAnanaH । lAGgUlaM sampradIptaM tu draSTuM tasya hanUmataH ॥ 5-53-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसहस्त्रीबालवृद्धाश्च जग्मुः प्रीता निशाचराः । स भूयः सङ्गतैः क्रूरैर्राक्षसैर्हरिसत्तमः ॥ ५-५३-१०
- all the demons including the she-demons and their children and the elders went out joyfully. (Tied down) again by the cruel demons, coming together, the heroic Hanuman the foremost among monkeys . - ॥ 5-53-10॥
