स निश्चितार्थः परवीरहन्ता समीक्ष्यकारी विनिवृत्तचेष्टः | परैः प्रसह्याभिगतैर्निगृह्य ननाद तैस्त्रै: परिभर्त्स्यमानः || ५-४८-४५

Hanuman, a destroyer of enemies, who assesses before he acts, resolved (to submit to the ordinance of Brahma), to be silent (the power of his movement affected). When the enemy forces came to him slowly and slowly, siezed him forcibly and abused him, he roared. [5-48-45]

sa nizcitArthaH paravIrahantA samIkSyakArI vinivRttaceSTaH | paraiH prasahyAbhigatairnigRhya nanAda taistrai: paribhartsyamAnaH || 5-48-45
