कच्चिच्छ लक्ष्मणश्शूरस्सुमित्रानन्दवर्धनः । अस्त्रविच्छरजालेन राक्षसान्विधमिष्यति ॥ ५-३६-२६
'Hope heroic Lakshmana, enhancer of the joy of Sumitra, who has mastered the use of weapons will blow away the demons through a network of arrows. ॥ 5-36-26॥

'Can I hope to see Ravana and his relatives slain in the battle by fiery weapons in a short time? ॥ 5-36-27॥

raudreNa kaccidastreNa jvalatA nihataM raNe । drakSyAmyalpena kAlena rAvaNaM sasuhRjjanam ॥ 5-36-27
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकच्चिन्न तद्धेमसमानवर्णं तस्याननं पद्मसमानगन्धि । मया विना शुष्यति शोकदीनं जलक्षये पद्ममिवातपेन ॥ ५-३६-२८
'Hope, Rama's moonlike face without me with its golden complexion and lotus fragrance must not have been pale and withered with tears like the lotus in a pond scorched by the heat. ॥ 5-36-28॥

kaccinna taddhemasamAnavarNaM tasyAnanaM padmasamAnagandhi । mayA vinA zuSyati zokadInaM jalakSaye padmamivAtapena ॥ 5-36-28
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधर्मापदेशात्त्यजतश्च राज्यं मां चाप्यरण्यं नयतः पदातिम् । नासीद्व्यथा यस्य न भीर्न शोकः कच्चित्स धैर्यं हृदये करोति ॥ ५-३६-२९
'Rama has given up sovereignty for the sake of establishing righteousness and led me into the forest on foot. He had not then felt any fear, anxiety or grief at heart. Rama showed patience, instead. Hope he retains them. ॥ 5-36-29॥

dharmApadezAttyajatazca rAjyaM mAM cApyaraNyaM nayataH padAtim । nAsIdvyathA yasya na bhIrna zokaH kaccitsa dhairyaM hRdaye karoti ॥ 5-36-29
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चास्य माता न पिता च नान्यः स्नेहाद्विशिष्टोऽस्ति मया समो वा । तावत्त्वहं दूत जिजीविषेयं यावत्प्रवृत्तिं शृणुयां प्रियस्य ॥ ५-३६-३०
'His love for me is superior to his love for his father, mother or any one else. O messenger, I wish to survive till I hear any news from my dear lord.' ॥ 5-36-30॥

na cAsya mAtA na pitA ca nAnyaH snehAdviziSTo'sti mayA samo vA । tAvattvahaM dUta jijIviSeyaM yAvatpravRttiM zRNuyAM priyasya ॥ 5-36-30
