स सर्वाभरणैर्युक्तो बिभ्रच्छ्रियमनुत्तमाम् । तां नगैर्बहुभिर्जुष्टां सर्वपुष्पफलोपगैः ॥ ५-१८-६

Adorned with all ornaments and glowing with excellent splendour he went through the path filled with trees flourishing with all kinds of flowers and fruits. [5-18-6]

english translation

वृतां पुष्करिणीभिश्च नानापुष्पोपशोभिताम् । सदा मदैश्च विहगैर्विचित्रां परमाद्भुताम् ॥ ५-१८-७

Ponds covered with a variety of beautiful flowers and colourful birds always cheerful looked very wonderful. [5-18-7]

english translation

ईहामृगैश्च विविधैर्जुष्टां दृष्टिमनोहरैः । वीधीः संप्रेक्षमाणश्च मणिकाञ्चनतोरणाः ॥ ५-१८-८

Seeing archways of gold and gems crowded by wonderful animals (wolves) of various kinds ravishing eyes and mind - [5-18-8]

english translation

नानामृगगणाकीर्णां फलैः प्रपतितैर्वृताम् । अशोकवनिकामेव प्राविशत्संततद्रुमाम् ॥ ५-१८-९

- he (Ravana) entered Ashoka garden filled with animals of various kinds, together with fallen fruits and full of trees. [5-18-9]

english translation

अङ्गनाशतमात्रं तु तं व्रजन्तमनुव्रजत् । महेन्द्रमिव पौलस्त्यं देवगन्धर्वयोषितः ॥ ५-१८-१०

Ravana, son of sage Paulasti, was followed by a hundred women, just as Indra is trailed by the females of gods and gandharvas. [5-18-10]
