वित्तमन्यच्च सुबहु द्विजेभ्यो रघुनंदनः | ददौ गोदानमुद्दिश्य पुत्रा पुत्रवत्सलः || १-७२-२४

Affectionate towards his children, the delight of the Raghus (king Dasaratha), in the name of his sons's Godaan ( donation of cows ) donated cows and innumerable valuables to the brahmins. [1-72-24]

english translation

vittamanyacca subahu dvijebhyo raghunaMdanaH | dadau godAnamuddizya putrA putravatsalaH || 1-72-24
