- "O Venerable one please be seated along with the eminent ascetics." On hearing the words of Janaka that great-sage Vishvamitra took his seat . - ॥ 1-50-11॥

Asane bhagavAnAstAM sahaibhirmunisattamaiH । janakasya vacaH zrutvA niSasAda mahAmuniH ॥ 1-50-11

पुरोधा ऋत्विजश्चैव राजा च सह मंत्रिभिः । आसनेषु यथान्यायमुपविष्टान् समन्ततः ॥ १-५०-१२

- and king Janaka also took seat along with his royal priest Shataananda, and the administrators of that Vedic-ritual, namely Ritvik-s, and along with his ministers. looking on all sides and saw all of them seated according to their rank . - ॥ 1-50-12॥

purodhA Rtvijazcaiva rAjA ca saha maMtribhiH । AsaneSu yathAnyAyamupaviSTAn samantataH ॥ 1-50-12

दृष्ट्वा स नृपतिस्तत्र विश्वामित्रमथाब्रवीत् । अद्य यज्ञसमृद्धिर्मे सफला दैवतैः कृता ॥ १-५०-१३

- thereafter the king addressed Viswamitra saying: "Today my sacrifice has been rendered fruitful by the devatas. - ॥ 1-50-13॥

dRSTvA sa nRpatistatra vizvAmitramathAbravIt । adya yajJasamRddhirme saphalA daivataiH kRtA ॥ 1-50-13

अद्य यज्ञफलं प्राप्तं भगवद्दर्शनान्मया । धन्योऽस्म्यनुगृहीतोऽस्मि यस्य मे मुनिपुङ्गव ॥ १-५०-१४

- I have reaped the fruit of my sacrifice today by your venerable presence. Oh ! Preeminent among ascetics, Oh ! brahmana, I am honoured and hallowed - ॥ 1-50-14॥

adya yajJaphalaM prAptaM bhagavaddarzanAnmayA । dhanyo'smyanugRhIto'smi yasya me munipuGgava ॥ 1-50-14

यज्ञोपसदनं ब्रह्मन् प्राप्तोऽसि मुनिभिः सह । द्वादशाहं तु ब्रह्मर्षे दीक्षामाहुर्मनीषिणः ॥ १-५०-१५

- as you have come to my sacrificial mandap along with these ascetics. 'Oh, Brahma-sage, the scholarly Ritvik-s conducting my Vedic-ritual are saying that only twelve more days are remaining to complete the observation of ritual-pledge. - ॥ 1-50-15॥

yajJopasadanaM brahman prApto'si munibhiH saha । dvAdazAhaM tu brahmarSe dIkSAmAhurmanISiNaH ॥ 1-50-15
