अथ देवा महादेवं शंकरं शरणार्थिनः | जग्मुः पशुपतिं रुद्रं त्राहि त्राहीति तुष्टुवुः || १-४५-२१

sanskrit

The gods seeking shelter then approached Pashupati Rudra, the Cardinal God, Endower of Solace and the Lord of all living beings. They prayed to him saying 'save, save us.' [1-45-21]

atha devA mahAdevaM zaMkaraM zaraNArthinaH | jagmuH pazupatiM rudraM trAhi trAhIti tuSTuvuH || 1-45-21
