वधाय देवशतॄणां नृणां लोके मनः कुरु | एवं स्तुतस्तु देवेशो विष्णुस्त्रिदशपुंगवः || १-१५-२६

मानुषे चिन्तयामास जन्मभूमिमथात्मनः | ततः पद्मपलाशाक्षः कृत्वात्मानं चतुर्विधम् || १-१५-३१

- started to think about the instituting base for his birth in human world. And then that lotus-petal-eyed one agreeing to manifest himself in fourfold way.....- [1-15-26]

mAnuSe cintayAmAsa janmabhUmimathAtmanaH | tataH padmapalAzAkSaH kRtvAtmAnaM caturvidham || 1-15-31
