संशान्तोपद्रवं नेत्रं विरिक्तं सम्यगादिशेत् । जिह्मं दारुणदुर्वर्णं स्रस्तं रूक्षमतीव च ॥७६॥
The eye affected by a disturbing disorder, impure and improperly directed, should be treated if it is distorted, severely discolored, discharging, and extremely dry.

जो आँख तैलीयता, रंग और शक्ति के गुणों से संपन्न है, तथा दोषों से मुक्त है, उसे उचित उपचारित तथा संतुलित अवस्था में माना जाना चाहिए, जब वह स्पष्ट दिखाई दे तथा अच्छी तरह से कार्य कर रही हो।
