इति स्वान् प्रत्यषेधन् वै दैतेया जातमत्सराः । दुर्बलाः प्रबलान् राजन् गृहीतकलशान् मुहुः ।। ८-८-४० ।।

It is befitting that the demigods now have a share of the nectar.” O King, in this way the weaker demons forbade the stronger demons to take the nectar. ।‌। 8-8-40 ।।

english translation

सनातन धर्म के अनुसार यह उचित होगा कि अमृत में देवताओं को भी भाग मिले।” हे राजा! इस प्रकार निर्बल असुरों ने प्रबल असुरों को अमृत लेने से मना किया। ।‌। ८-८-४० ।।
