तत ऐरावतो नाम वारणेन्द्रो विनिर्गतः । दन्तैश्चतुर्भिः श्वेताद्रेर्हरन् भगवतो महिम् ।‌। ८-८-४ ॥

As the next result of the churning, the king of elephants, named Airāvata, was generated. This elephant was white, and with its four tusks it defied the glories of Kailāsa Mountain, the glorious abode of Lord Śiva. ।‌। 8-8-4 ॥

english translation

मन्थन के फलस्वरूप अगली बार हाथियों का राजा ऐरावत उत्पन्न हुआ। यह हाथी श्वेत रंग का था और अपने चारों दाँतों के कारण यह शिवजी के यशस्वी धाम कैलाश पर्वत की महिमा को भी मात दे रहा था। ।‌। ८-८-४ ॥
