मिथः कलिरभूत्तेषां तदर्थे तर्षचेतसाम् । अहं पूर्वमहं पूर्वं न त्वं न त्वमिति प्रभो ।। ८-८-३८ ॥
O King, a quarrel then arose among the demons over who would get the nectar first. Each of them said, “You cannot drink it first. I must drink it first. Me first, not you!” ।। 8-8-38 ॥
english translation
हे राजा! तब असुरों के बीच झगड़ा छिड़ गया कि सबसे पहले कौन अमृत ले। उनमें से हर एक यही कहने लगा “तुम पहले नहीं पी सकते। मुझे सबसे पहले पीना चाहिए। तुम नहीं, पहले मैं।” ।। ८-८-३८ ॥
