आसां प्राणपरीप्सूनां विधेयमभयं हि मे । एतावान् हि प्रभोरर्थो यद्दीनपरिपालनम् ।‌। ८-७-३८ ।।

sanskrit

It is my duty to give protection and safety to all living entities struggling for existence. Certainly it is the duty of the master to protect his suffering dependents. ।‌। 8-7-38 ।।

english translation

जीवन-संर्घष में लगे समस्त जीवों को सुरक्षा प्रदान करना मेरा कर्तव्य है। निश्चय ही स्वामी का कर्तव्य है कि वह पीडि़त अधीनस्थों की रक्षा करे। ।‌। ८-७-३८ ।।
