इत्युक्तः सोऽनयन्मत्स्यं तत्र तत्राविदासिनि । जलाशयेऽसम्मितं तं समुद्रे प्राक्षिपज्झषम् ।। ८-२४-२३ ।।

sanskrit

When thus requested, King Satyavrata took the fish to the largest reservoir of water. But when that also proved insufficient, the King at last threw the gigantic fish into the ocean. ।। 8-24-23 ।।

english translation

इस प्रकार प्रार्थना किये जाने पर राजा सत्यव्रत उस मछली को जल के सबसे बड़े आगार में ले आया। किन्तु जब वह भी अपर्याप्त सिद्ध हुआ तो राजा ने अन्त में उस मछली को समुद्र में डाल दिया। ।। ८-२४-२३ ।।

ityuktaH so'nayanmatsyaM tatra tatrAvidAsini | jalAzaye'sammitaM taM samudre prAkSipajjhaSam || 8-24-23 ||
