अथ तार्क्ष्यसुतो ज्ञात्वा विराट् प्रभुचिकीर्षितम् । बबन्ध वारुणैः पाशैर्बलिं सौत्येऽहनि क्रतौ ॥ ८-२१-२६ ॥

When Bali Mahārāja was thus arrested by Lord Viṣṇu, who is the most powerful, there was a great roar of lamentation in all directions throughout the upper and lower planetary systems of the universe. ॥ 8-21-27 ।‌।

english translation

तत्पश्चात् यज्ञ समाप्त हो जाने के बाद सोमपान के दिन पक्षिराज गरुड़ ने अपने स्वामी की इच्छा जानकर बलि महाराज को वरुणपाश से बन्दी बना लिया। ॥ ८-२१-२६ ॥
